Amsterdam

This is an integral role to the agency and is to be the account lead for a financial and technology client, our biggest UK client, with a relationship spanning over 25 years. This new role focuses on building the account across Europe. The position is based in Amsterdam and will involve regular visits to London, circa 1-2 days per week (to begin with) to align on Mastercard strategy and team. It will be essential to liaise with; internal teams at Big Group London on opportunities and scopes; and externally with the client’s European territories to develop opportunities across a range of Marketing disciplines, with a focus on digital. Responsibilities will include managing & receiving client briefs, ensuring execution answers the brief and business objectives and the work is delivered on time. Additional responsibilities will be to provide strategic direction, evolve and innovate, analyse campaign performance, and be the main point of call for the clients.

1.Client relationship development
  • With London agency support, develop existing relationships across the client’s European territories.
  • Develop new relationships with the client’s territories where we have minimal exposure.
  • To be the main point of contact on European client requests.
2. Integration and business knowledge
  • Support with the Integration of Amsterdam across London
  • Understand all our tools and capabilities and proactively educate and implement these within existing client business
3. Strategic development & reporting
  • Work with Client to understand their business objectives
  • Work with internal teams to develop integrated solutions to business objectives
  • Work with other agencies to provide insight & recommendations as needed
4. Client work
  • Guarantee high quality delivery and effectively working with UK agency account teams
  • Work with Project Management to ensure that work, cost estimates and production remain within the timing plans and budgets, managing the client accordingly
5.Commercials
  • Negotiates fees on client business
  • Ensure that each client team is focused on achieving revenue and profitability targets and proactively seeks to exceed those targets
  • Work with key stakeholders to constantly review utilisation and billability across all client accounts
Essential:

Desirable:
  • European knowledge of Business processes
  • Languages- English, Dutch, German, French (need to have strong written and verbal skills in at least 2 of these languages)
  • Creative PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Understanding of digital platforms such as, Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore and Salesforce
  • Degree level education in a marketing related field is desirable
